After brainstorming on various ideas and interpretations we picked up two major themes from the novel, Religion and Politics. Both of them connected the story to the real world. In turn, we created a spatial experience which talked about the 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots. The experience showcases a bus seat as the narrator of the story talking about its experiences during the days of the riots. For providing the visitors with utmost realistic experience, we installed an old bus seat and experimented with light and sound adding to the narration. A background score which had voice overs with SFX were played when a viewer was sitting on the bus seat with a newspaper which had information and photographs of the real incident.
